BLACKBERRY-PEACH COBBLER with PRALINE PECAN STREUSEL

Summertime is cobbler time at my house! What could be easier and more delicious than using fresh fruits of the season combined with a light crumbly streusel topping.
Cobbler takes very little time to prepare.......it takes longer to peel the fruit than to assemble the entire cobbler.

Today's recipe combines the fresh taste of blackberries and the sweetness of peaches with an end result that is sooooo delish, especially warm! For an added touch, some enjoy a cold scoop of French Vanilla ice cream or whip cream on top......I love it just as it is!

As with any cobbler the fruit must be prepared first. That's the most time consuming part of making a cobbler.

Once the fruit is prepared the first 3 ingredients are brought to a boil. (I added 1/2 cup of melted butter during this step that was not in the recipe.) Stirring occasionally 6-7 min. until it thickens.

Remove from the stove and carefully stir in the blackberries. Spoon the mixture into a 9 inch square pan. (greased)

Streusel Topping--

Mix the first 4 ingredients together in a mixing bowl and then add the chopped nuts. Crumble into pieces and spread over the top of the fruit.

Bake at 375 degree 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and light brown. The recipe in its entirety may be found on the link below:

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
