WELCOME TLB FRIENDS-
When I was considering what topic to write about this morning I started thinking back to what projects hubby and I have tackled since moving to our Florida home full time. This might not be the prettiest blog ever, however, when it comes to the environment and our children and grandchildrens' future, I felt I should share something some of us don't often think about on a daily basis.
When we began planning a budget for our home renovation we decided it was time to replace the existing toilets. I know it's not something that's usually "first on the list of TO DO's," however, as you read further you may change your mind like we did!
Federal plumbing standards now specify that new toilets can only use up to 1.6 gallons per flush. My husband and I always try our best to make good sound decisions where the environment is involved, however, in this case our past builder was the one who educated us on using "low-flow" toilets. We were quite pleased with them. With that in mind we purchased the same toilets we had in our last home.

never thought you'd be reading about toilets! As our days
and years quickly fly by being aware of our environment
is so very important. Our precious resources need to be
protected, and only we can do this together!
Thanks for stopping by TLB!
Have a wonderful week!

Ha Ha Kathleen! We all need them so I guess it is best to have the ones that are environmentally good. We need to replace the one we have in our new condo and in our last house we had the low flow and it was great on your water and sewage bill too. It looks great. Happy Thursday. xoxo
ReplyDeleteHi Kris,
DeleteYes, unfortunately we do need them! At least we can now find them with a bit of style, height and those that are environmentally friendly!!
