LOOKING FORWARD TO A YEAR OF CHANGE

WELCOME TO 2016 TLB friends!

It was time to jump the plane back to Texas yesterday, and I needed some new reading material. I grabbed a January copy of Oprah's magazine. These words on the front cover sprung out at me.....THE YEAR OF YOU.

I had just shared with my daughters' and husband what I planned to accomplish this year;
take beginning Spanish classes, learn how to use Powerpoint and Excel, organize my new home and office space, join a meaningful club that will allow me to not only make friends, but help those in need, and read more.

The "year of you" article focuses on the following, taken from "The Motivation Manifesto" by Brendon Burchard:

-Letting go of your fears
-Getting out of your own way
-Believing in your dreams
-Working with a support system
-Shaking off your disappointment
-Finding joy in the struggle

All things that most of us face at one time or another in our lives. As my daughter's say, "the struggle is real."

What are your plans for 2016? Why not start small and as your year unfolds choose carefully how to wisely use your time in a way that will be most fulfilling to you!

CHEERS TO A WONDERFUL 2016!

Fondly,

Kathleen

  2. What a great post, Kathleen! I also hope this year will be better than the last. I have so many plans, starting by dropping several pounds. I have already lost 7 and hope to keep going. But there are many other challenges ahead. Until they will be conquered, I hope I find joy while struggling. Happy New Year to you and your family!
