SIMPLE VALENTINE WREATH

Valentine's Day is celebrated annually and I just LOVE to add a bit of festivity to my front door during this time of year.

It originated as a Christian feast day honoring a couple of Christian martyrs named Saint Valentine. In later years things have become more commercialized in many ways, but as my husband and I approach our "45th" Valentine's day, we always reminisce about those years we've shared together.

At my house my husband aways remembers me on this special day. No matter if he was traveling across the world he always found a way to leave me a beautiful card written with a sentiment to me that only he could write.

Since moving I've been on a kick to reuse and recycle on a much larger scale. In the past we've had endless storage, but in our present home "space is a premium," and I've become much more aware of my purchases. This has lead me to reusing and recycling many of my previous projects.

I always try to add just a touch of Valentine decor to our home; usually in the form of a wreath on our front door. Most years I would create a completely new wreath, but this year I decided to use a different approach.

I started out with my Magnolia wreath (purchased years ago in Frontgate. It is still available: (https://www.frontgate.com/magnolia-wreath/90680) I then accompanied my daughter on a trip to Hobby Lobby and purchased some twiggy garland, and wove it into the wreath. I left the MacKenzie and Childs ribbon and magnolia blooms for contrast, making this such an easy change up!

My result-----

Wishing you all a very Happy Valentines Day!

May your day be filled with love!

    1. Rita,
Thank you! So sorry you don't have your Magnolia wreath anymore.....I know the feeling when purging. What do I keep, and what do I let go? Take care my friend!
