IT'S GREAT TO BE BACK!

Warm Greetings TLB friends!

Thanks for joining me today, it's going to be a great year! Since building the house I've found decorating magazines to be my best friend.

Stop over to see what I've been up to......

We were actually able to purge some furniture (Habitat for Humanity), and repurpose our family room furniture using it in the game room upstairs. We also decided to take the plunge and upgrade our mattress from a queen to a king, and then of course there was the beautiful bed frame, end tables, and dresser that were delivered too!

The sleigh bed has a wood frame around the entire perimeter of the bed. On the headboard behind the pillows is a beautiful design inlay. The bedding is a creamy golden color from Waterford and the velvet jewel tone monogram pillow is from Horchow.

The bedroom walls are Repose Gray with SW Extra white crown molding, trim and ceiling.
The double windows and door open to a small private patio, great for morning coffee. Our view of the pool and sheer decent fountain is lovely both during the daytime as well as evening hours.

The seating area with two comfy chairs, is a cozy place to read or just relax. I chose Shaw carpet with a trellis pattern using an 8 lb. pad underneath for comfort. I highly recommend an 8 lb. pad. We always use this in our carpeted areas.

The draperies are from JCPenny. I have used this inexpensive well-made lined drapery in the same off-white color in many of our previous master bedrooms. I love finding a high-end look without the price tag. I even purchased an extra panel and commissioned a seamstress to make the lined Roman shade  that hangs on the door. It has a pull cord that raises and lowers to control privacy and sun.

A closer look of the chest on each side of the bed reveals a carved classic design. The bedside lamps are from Robert Allen. The matching chest on the wall at the end of the bed is triple the size of the chests and holds our TV. I am working on a photo wall to complete that area.

I hope you enjoyed your first visit in 2017, and a little peek into our master bedroom.

See you next week!
