It's getting real here in Texas.....
After permitting, surveying, digging, trenching, placing the sheathing for a protective barrier, and adding the rough plumbing, the lunar landing field was stabilized.......
And ready for concrete.... three concrete trucks rolled in, adjusted their cranes, and dumped.
And then the boys got busy....smoothing the concrete.....
And then polishing it.......
Then we waited a couple of days to allow the concrete to cure and city inspections to be completed, and framing began.
The crew started at the right rear of the house. The kitchen is located on the right with the Master Bedroom & Bath behind the kitchen wall.
The framing below reflects a portion of the front elevation from left to right being framed....
* Study
* Front Porch
* Side load 2.5 car garage
Far right...
* Single car garage
When we visited the site we were so pleased with the progress. The waiting during the processing of all of the initial paperwork seems to take forever. Amazingly, in just about a week we went from trenches to framing the first floor. The terrific warm temps have aided us in some excellent early progress which we are very thankful for.
We can't wait to see what stage the house will be in when we return home from Florida!
Stay tuned as the journey continues........
